Welcome, welcome, come one and come all, to the season's most fashionable and festive Masked Ball!
 
An event filled with live music, graceful dancing, and a fabulous feast awaits you on December 5th, 2009 in the Barony of the Rhydderich Hael at the Independent Health Youth & Family Center.  The Center is located at 5005 Sheridan Dr. Williamsville, NY 14221.  Site opens at 10AM and closes promptly at 9PM.  Live dance music for the ball will be provided by Delftwood's amazingly talented itinerant musical troupe ExArca.  Don’t dance you say?  Well you can learn!  The elegant and gracious dance mistress for the evening, Baroness Peregrine of Thescorre, will be giving dance lessons prior to the actual ball! Additional live music will be provided by Step in Time, local musicians and fellow SCAdians, during the sumptuous feast.  Did we mention dancing?  There will also be a fencing tourney, an A&S competition, and oh yes, dancing.  Feast seating is extremely limited, so please reserve early!
 
There is a theme for this event—it is simply this: purple.  That’s it.  Be as creative as you can with that theme!  (It’s simple to allow for many types of interpretation.)
 
PLEASE NOTE:  *The site is BONE DRY* - if there’s even a hint of alcohol brought into the facility, we not only lose this site for future events, but we may be removed at that time.  *Please* don’t bring ANY alcohol on the premises.
 
That being said, caffeine is perfectly fine.  In fact, for a short time only, we will once again have access to the attached coffee house for your delicious hot and cold beverages.  Get your favorite coffee house beverages only until 3pm!

From Buffalo: Take I-190N to I-290E. **Get off at Exit 6, Sheridan Dr.   Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Sheridan Dr. and merge onto NY-324/Sheridan Dr.  The Center will be on your right.  It looks like an old firehall.
 
From the East: Take I-90 to I-290.  Merge onto I-290 W towards Niagara Falls.  Take exit 6 for Sheridan Dr/NY-324 towards Harlem Rd/NY-240.  Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Sheridan Dr. and merge onto NY-324/Sheridan Dr.  The Center will be on your right.  It looks like an old firehall.
