So closed the court Summer's End: Sept. 9, A.S. 41 (2006)This is the report of the Court of William and Kiersey, Baron and Baroness of the Rhydderich Hael, held the ninth day of the ninth month in the year of our society forty one at Summer's End held in their beautiful Canton of Beau Fleuve. Lady Isolda filia Georgii reporting.Finding Lord Jarius curiously absent with the results of the rattan tourney, Their Excellencies called before them Don Berhand Von Elmendorf to enquire as to the results of the fencing tournament. He announced the winner to be Lord Giovanni Megrino. Lord Giovanni received a cup made by the hand of Mistress Honnoria of Thescorre. At this point, Lord Jarius did arrive and present himself before Their Excellencies to report that the Hael's own Count Sir Maynard Von Dem Stein had prevailed in the Rattan Tourney. Count Sir Maynard received a cup made by the hand of Mistress Honnoria of Thescorre. This being done, Lord Constantine of Clan Blackhart was called, expecting to announce the the winner of the Thrown Weapons Tourney of the day. His Excellency, however had some unfinished business with Lord Constantine and presented him with a scroll that he had never received at Ice Dragon. Only then, did their Excellencies allow him to announce that THL Akila De Athos had won the day's Thrown Weapons Tourney. THL Akila received a cup made by the hand of Mistress Honnoria of Thescorre. Master Charles of Alden then presented himself to announce that THL Akila De Athos had also distinguished himself by winning the Seven Pearls Thrown Weapons Tournament. The scroll is a work in progress by Lady Morwenna Everdone. Finding that James of Hartstone, who ran the Youth Tournament, was also curiously absent, Their Excellencies called Sir Sextus Plinius Callidus into their presence. Baron William reminded the populous of the prowess of Sir Callidus on the rattan field and the fencing list. Their were many present who had experienced his prowess first hand. In honor of the many tournaments that have been won by Sir Callidus (I believe it is numbered at 25), Their Excellencies made a gift to him of a book on Knighthood, which appeared to this writer to be not entirely serious in nature. Not being finished with Sir Callidus, their Excellencies bid him stay and called before them the members of the Noble Union of Lords and Ladies, who welcomed Sir Callidus to their order. Still not being finished with Sir Callidus, their Excellencies asked him to fetch his Lady into their presence. Mistress Cori Ghora came before them, a look of wonder on her face, and clearly having no idea what was to ensue. Their Excellencies spoke of the skill and knowledge of Mistress Cori in so many areas of Arts and Sciences and the many folk of the Barony who had learned at her hands. They then called before them their Order of the Golden Bee and made Mistress Cori it's newest member. The Scroll, which is a work in progress by the hand of our most skilled Baroness Kiersey, will soon declare both the induction of Sir Callidus and Mistress Cori into their new! orders. James of Hartstone, having arrived in the hall was called into court to announce that Roland had won the Youth Tournament, for which he received a cup made by the hand of Mistress Honnoria of Thescorre. There being no further business the Court of William and Kiersey, Baron and Baroness of the Rhydderich Hael was closed. |
